Well, we survived 2020 and now we face the hope of a new America in 2021. We will be faced with tough choices and tough times, but we will still keep prepping. Some Americans are so disenfranchised with our nation that they are actually considering leaving!

Are there still safe havens for preppers in our nation and around the world? We dug deep and sought out some recommendations to get the gear turning in your own head. Might it be time to relocate?

Bugout Lifestyle

Some people have given themselves over to a sort of never ending bugout. This idea that our world is so close to calamity that we could be uprooted at any moment has given way to people who simply have prepared to be mobile at a moment’s notice.

I call this the Bugout Lifestyle because it basically keeps you on a perpetual bugout or perpetually prepared to be most efficient in a bugout scenario.

Mobile Home

RV life and mobile living has become a huge opportunity for many people. This is a lifestyle that is far beyond preppers. Writers, entrepreneurs, and others have also taken to the idea of a mobile living space.

There are some serious benefits for preppers when it comes to living on the road.

Of course, limited storage space can be an issue for preppers. However, we are a creative bunch and using storage and survival caching could become an answer to that.

No matter how you look at it, being a mobile prepper in uncertain times is definitely going to be a huge benefit to preppers in 2021.

Month to Month Rentals

While owning a property might seem like the best means of financial preparedness, there is something to be said about watching that investment, literally, go up in flames (Antifa). So, now is a time to consider renting month to month.

Month to month rentals in a city would be a terrible idea for preppers!

However, month to month rentals in a rural setting could be just the kind of preemptive bugout that you and yours are looking for.

Many farmhouse rentals offer gardens and wide opens spaces with landowners that allow you to keep animals and care for the land as though it were your own.

If the state leadership gets out of hand you simply finish out your lease and move away! No selling a home or any hassle. Cut ties and keep it moving. Having no roots in uncertain times has its benefits.

Off Grid Tiny Home

The off grid tiny home revolution has made lots of things possible for people who are willing to live a minimalist lifestyle.

You can jump off grid for a very little bit of money and maybe even invest in a nice piece of land to put that home on.

The tiny home is not just a jump to off grid, but it is also a pickup truck away from being a bugout location. Now you can uproot quickly and take your living space with you.

However, you can also park on a piece of land with a well and build a serious life for yourself.

They can be professionally built for as little as 30,000 or you can do it yourself for even less!

Unconventional

These unconventional living methods might seem a bit extreme to you, but they are solutions for the hardcore prepper that is fortifying and preparing to live out the very worst case scenario.

Cave

Batman is the ultimate prepper, in my estimation, and his bat cave is legendary.

Of course, it is only the stuff of comics but the living inside of a cave or building a structure inside of a cave could provide you with a protected shelter that is invisible to pretty much every form of detection.

You will not be seen from satellites and even thermal vision will be unable to detect you living in your cave home deep beneath the ground.

Using permaculture principles, you could populate the woods around your cave with a food producing forest garden and maybe even some free roaming animals.

Missile Silo

Abandoned missile silos are popping up all the time. These are decommissioned and highly effective underground shelters for hardcore preppers to manipulate into a living space. Just so you know, you will not be the first person to turn a decommissioned missile silo into a home.

This is the definition of unconventional living, but it is also the prepping at its most extreme and maybe at its most effective. Dipping below the earth’s surface and maintaining normalcy is about the only way a family can live out a true doomsday.

Underground Bunker

A more affordable option is to invest in an underground bunker.

While a cheap underground bunker is no type of living space for a person or family, a larger one can be a place that you might seek refuge and furnish to some measure of enjoyment.

A simple cabin on top of your bunker could create a combo living situation that works perfectly for you and yours.

Spacious, outfitted bunkers can run you 80,000 and up. These might not be something you are interested in and with the cost of a home on top it could get very expensive. However, you will be able to just head underground and seek shelter in a disaster.

Conventional

Here are a few places that are on the more conventional side. While shacking up in a missile silo would undoubtedly protect you from a serious doomsday disaster it wouldn’t be a great place to call home.

So, let’s look at some regions and states that are much better for preppers.

Rural Living

The general consensus amongst most preppers is that living rurally is simply better than living in the burbs.

You have more freedom to work on food production and other prepping/homesteading projects. You are also living in an area of low population density.

The rural lands might be the perfect place for the right kind of prepper.

Tennessee

Tennessee is a great state for preppers and offers up a wonderful mix of environments from great rural expanses to mountain towns and even some incredible suburban places.

It is also a state that is pretty well run from a local government standpoint.

Of course, you are going to need to spend some time seeking out the right place, but you will find it a welcoming state with a lot of the benefits of an east coast location without radical gun control, exploding unrest, destructive taxation and some of the more common issues that are cropping up in states all over.

Montana

If you are looking to move into an even more remote location Montana is something to consider.

It is a state of immense beauty and wide ranging freedom.

Of course, there are very few people in the state compared to its massive footprint.

This type of isolation lends itself to preppers who are looking to switch on that agricultural prowess, shoot guns, get off grid and really get back to living as part of the world.

The communities are a lot of independent than those with big cities, too.

West Virginia

Lots of people live in that northeast corridor but tucked just south west of these places is West Virginia and you can find yourself a little nook that will keep you provide you with all the self-reliance and freedom that you want.

Getting off the grid and preparing for calamity becomes a reality and in some places a necessity in many parts of West Virginia.

It is also a beautiful landscape and the eastern part of the state offers up world class trout fishing, hiking, and hunting.

West Virginia has not been infected by that which is east of it and it’s a diamond in the east coast rough.

Outside the US

I wouldn’t recommend leaving the nation. That is just my two cents in the whole matter.

However, there are some really great places that one could live and hide and prep without too much oppression, for now.

New Zealand

For years New Zealand has been a place where people with money have been buying land and setting up shop for a dark, dark period in history.

This is the island to survive SHTF in the minds of those in places like silicone valley and other billionaires.

In many ways, New Zealand has become the new age ARK that will be there when the rain starts to fall.

No matter how you feel about the uber rich and powerful, they know that New Zealand has tremendous benefits in an SHTF scenario.

Things like local food sources, clean water, and it being an island nation that would require raiders to come by boat.

Sweden

While many will bristle at the idea of living in a socialists’ dream like Sweden, we are talking about SAFETY as a prepper.

Sure, you can find a number of things to concern yourself with abouts Sweden.

But if you take the same kind of route as you would in America you will have success: Rural life, self-reliance, off grid and whatever else you deem necessary.

Sweden is a breathtaking place that is full of natural resources and opportunity for a prepper. Gun ownership is tightly regulated but if you are rural and you keep quiet, you should not have problems.

Costa Rica

Costa Rica has long been a safe haven for expats. Prepper’s are a THING in Costa Rica and during the pandemic many of these preppers came out of the woodwork. In short, you are dealing with a democratic nation invests in the social and cultural fabric of its nation. The tax system is very favorable to Americas.

Literacy is high and cost of living is exceptionally low. You can live comfortably on $2000 a month!

The opportunity to make a move that will better position you to survive the coming chaos, or the chaos that is already around us, is still there. You should not assume that you have made your final move. As you can see, there are a tremendous amount of safe living options for preppers.

From extreme to conventional, preppers have options. It is important for us to sit down and really consider what matters to us. From here you can make that incredibly important decision: Are you in the place you would like to be to live through SHTF?

If the answer is no, then it is time to get to work on deciding where that place is.

A diverse coalition of more than 60 progressive advocacy organizations and labor unions representing millions of people across the U.S. sent a letter Friday urging Senate Democrats to eliminate the legislative filibuster, a procedural relic that the groups describe as a “weapon of pure partisan gridlock” and a major obstacle to necessary change.

Addressed to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), the letter (pdf) from Fix Our Senate, Stand Up America, the Sunrise Movement, the Communications Workers of America, and dozens of other groups argues that nuking the filibuster “would not be a radical step, but a pragmatic response to gridlock and obstruction to help senators deliver for their constituents.”

“People want a government that works for them, not just the wealthy, well-connected, and entrenched special interest groups,” the letter reads. “That is why we are reaching out… to call on Senate Democrats to move quickly to fix the broken Senate and eliminate the filibuster as a tool that Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell [R-Ky.] can use to nullify the results of the election and block progress on popular legislation supported by a majority of senators and a majority of the American people.”

The letter, first reported by NBC News, comes on the heels of the Senate’s marathon “vote-a-rama” session, an absurd spectacle of largely meaningless votes required under the filibuster-proof reconciliation process, which Democrats are using to push through a coronavirus relief package without needing support from obstructionist Republicans.

“It would be easier just to end the filibuster,” the grassroots group People for Bernie tweeted early Friday morning as the “vote-a-rama” process—which ultimately lasted more than 14 hours—dragged on.

New York magazine’s Ed Kilgore echoed that point Friday, calling “vote-a-rama” the “price Democrats must pay to avoid the filibuster.”

“The Senate will get to go through another vote-a-rama later, assuming the budget resolution passes and a reconciliation bill is brought to the floor,” Kilgore wrote. “Avoiding one of the Senate’s ludicrous traditions (the filibuster) means indulging another.”

While Democrats may succeed in passing a robust coronavirus relief package through budget reconciliation, the rules of the process would prevent the majority party from using it to approve other key priorities, from voting rights legislation to regulations aimed at fighting the climate crisis.

Spotlighting the constraints of the expedited budget process, HuffPost reported earlier this week that Democrats will likely be forced to drop paid family and medical leave from their coronavirus package because it probably would not survive reconciliation rules, which require provisions to have a direct budgetary impact.

“You can pass $1,400 checks through budget reconciliation, but you can’t pass emergency paid leave,” New York Times columnist Ezra Klein noted Thursday. “When Congress writes laws through budget reconciliation, it writes them with one arm tied behind its back.”

Scrapping the filibuster, and thereby allowing the majority party to legislate without such restrictions, would require the backing of the entire Senate Democratic caucus plus a tie-breaking vote from Vice President Kamala Harris—a level of support Democrats don’t currently have, given persistent opposition from Sens. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) and Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.) and skepticism from others.

In their letter, the coalition of 62 progressive organizations argues that transformative progress will only be possible if Senate Democrats unite to change the chamber’s rules and “end the gridlock and dysfunction.”

“The best way to restore a functioning Senate,” the letter states, “is to eliminate the filibuster as a weapon the minority can use to block an agenda that a majority of Americans have just embraced at the ballot box.”

Voters across the country have made their voices heard loud and clear, culminating in the strong message that was recently delivered in Georgia. People want a government that works for them, not just the wealthy, well-connected, and entrenched special interest groups. They are sick and tired of the gridlock and dysfunction that is keeping the system rigged against them and their families and is preventing progress on the many critical issues facing our nation.

The results of this election have unlocked the door to change, but another clear obstacle remains: the rules of the United States Senate that allow a partisan minority to block legislation and will prevent the Senate from governing and delivering on the promises they made to voters if they are left in place.

To be clear, the filibuster was never intended to be used and abused the way it has been over the past decade. Despite what some will claim, the filibuster isn’t in the Constitution. The framers were explicitly trying to avoid supermajority requirements for legislation, and until recently, the filibuster was only very rarely used to block ordinary legislation supported by the majority of senators. The notable exception, of course, was its deplorable use as a tool to block civil rights, voting rights, and anti-lynching bills, which is why President Barack Obama correctly referred to it as a “Jim Crow relic” that should be eliminated if it stands in the way of securing the rights of every American.

Even those of us who have supported the filibuster in the past now see clearly that it has become something very different in recent years. If the filibuster was ever effective in promoting bipartisanship and compromise, that is clearly no longer the case as use of the filibuster has skyrocketed while bipartisanship and consensus has plummeted. The filibuster has become a weapon of pure partisan gridlock and its abuse is a big part of what has broken the Senate.

That is why we are reaching out on behalf of our millions of members across the country to call on Senate Democrats to move quickly to fix the broken Senate and eliminate the filibuster as a tool that Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell can use to nullify the results of the election and block progress on popular legislation supported by a majority of senators and a majority of the American people.

This would not be a radical step, but a pragmatic response to gridlock and obstruction to help senators deliver for their constituents. Senate rules have been changed many times over the years. In 2013, the Senate took some initial steps to end the partisan blockade of President Obama’s nominees. And just since 2017, the Republican majority eliminated the filibuster on Supreme Court nominees in order to confirm President Trump’s picks, and then changed the rules again to reduce the debate time for other nominees, including District Court judges appointed to lifetime terms. The Republican majority also made use of the budget reconciliation process, first used in 1980, to pass their tax bill with a simple majority. And most recently, they changed the so-called “McConnell rule” to advance President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee  just weeks before an election after refusing to advance President Obama’s nominee during the final year of his term.

We urge Senate Democrats, under your leadership, to take speedy action to fix the broken Senate and make progress possible by changing the rules to end the gridlock and dysfunction. The best way to restore a functioning Senate is to eliminate the filibuster as a weapon the minority can use to block an agenda that a majority of Americans have just embraced at the ballot box.

Recent political turmoil has driven a stampede of smartphone users to encrypted messaging services, so much so that service providers are having a hard time keeping up with demand. The exodus to these digital havens might come across as reasonable given social media’s newfound penchant for censorship and deplatforming. However, the public record shows that encrypted messaging apps, despite the litany of high-profile celebrity endorsements, aren’t what they appear to be. Lurking beneath the assurances of confidentiality are unsettling facts that raise doubts about the wisdom of following the herd.

The mainstream press has been talking up apps like Signal and Telegram. The New York Times in particular. That, in and of itself, should set off alarm bells. Signal, for example, has received millions of dollars over the years from a bureaucratic spin-off of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). The Broadcast Board of Governors, rebranded as the U.S. Agency for Global Media, has been an ardent supporter of Signal through its Open Technology Fund. The U.S. Agency for Global Media is the foreign propaganda arm of the State Department and has historical links to clandestine regime-change operations.

The Signal project is run by a guy who won’t tell anyone his real name. Would you buy insurance from someone like that, much less trust them with your physical safety? Another indicator that something is amiss. Said guy goes by the handle of Moxie Marlinspike. He likes to create the impression of a radical anarchist who’s leading a noble battle against government surveillance. Which is unusual considering how acquainted Marlinspike appears to be with government officials. Indeed, they liked him so much they financed him.

Telegram likewise has some notable advocates despite its questionable security. Enrique Tarrio, who currently leads the Proud Boys, described Telegram’s platform as “the darkest part of the web.” Which sounds like a glowing testimonial by an ostensibly credible figure. Readers should note that based on court documents viewed by Reuters, federal officials indicate that Tarrio has worked with law enforcement as an informant on a number of cases. In an interview with Reuters Tarrio stated, “I don’t recall any of this.” Keep in mind that infiltration and subversion are genuine threats to secure messaging systems. In fact, online providers could even facilitate such monitoring by adding hidden members to messaging groups.

Don’t even ask about Facebook’s WhatsApp messenger. The company openly admits that it collects more than enough metadata to dispel any illusions about personal privacy.

All of this underscores an inconvenient truth about apps which Ken Thompson, the creator of UNIX, spelled out nearly four decades ago. In his excellent Turing Award Lecture Thompson warned, “You can’t trust code that you did not totally create yourself.” Primarily because, as the SolarWinds debacle illustrated, backdoors are a grave threat. And it just so happens that the American intelligence community has a heavily documented record of planting backdoors in software, one that goes all the way back to the beginning of the Cold War, with global business interests like Crypto AG that outwardly appeared to be legitimate. The Swiss are neutral, right? Nope, not when they’re in bed with the CIA. Please understand that the organizations which deployed the compromised encryption technology sold by Crypto AG mistakenly believed that it was going to make them more secure. Allied governments naively trusted state secrets to gear that they didn’t design, giving spies a perfect opportunity.

Even if encrypted messaging apps were, by some miracle, free of backdoors (dream on) intelligence agencies would still have a field day breaching app security. Researchers from the National Security Agency concede as much in a paper entitled The Inevitability of Failure. This paper concludes that “current security efforts suffer from the flawed assumption that adequate security can be provided in applications with the existing security mechanisms of mainstream operating systems.”

In plain English: it doesn’t matter how secure a messaging app claims to be if hackers can compromise the underlying code running in the guts of a smartphone. Thanks to WikiLeaks it’s known that the CIA has constructed a whole array of tools for executing that mission. As President Obama remarked during his final year in office, American spies have “more capacity than anybody both offensively and defensively.” And it’s not just surgically targeted attacks; they’re capable of hacking endpoints on an industrial scale.

Proponents of encrypted messaging apps have argued that, hey, they’re still better than nothing. Sadly these apps are often worse than nothing because they provide users with a false sense of security. Rather than being an obstacle to security services they end up acting as a beacon. A sign that users have something to hide. Something which merits further investigation.

It’s not like this sort of vulnerability is a new phenomenon. Consider the failed coup d’état in Turkey which took place in 2016. Participants in the attempted putsch used an encrypted messaging app known as ByLock. Yet instead of protecting the conspirators from counterintelligence officers ByLock made users and their network activity stand out like veritable glow sticks. Out of the total population of 215,000 ByLock users in Turkey at the time of the coup, approximately 23,000 were arrested.

Some encrypted messaging apps blatantly facilitate investigation. The Telegram messaging app has a feature called “People Nearby,” which (when enabled) allows other users to determine how far they are from you. Under normal circumstances this corresponds to a large amorphous region (e.g. somewhere in a 20-mile radius). But experts have found that a malicious user could easily reconfigure their phone to collect three separate distance measurements and thereby triangulate the exact location of your phone. Can you imagine what would happen if this this feature were silently enabled by an automatic software patch?

Dear reader, the road ahead for this republic is fraught with hazards. American political leaders are unaccustomed to cowering in fear. They probably find the sensation completely alien and intolerable. Which might help to explain why the capitol was flooded with way too many National Guard troops. In a spasm of insecurity the elites might be tempted to wield power simply to convince both themselves and their donors that they’re still in charge. Entire swathes of the population may soon find themselves designated as terrorists while lawmakers isolate themselves within “green zones.” If this is our future then one of the worst things you can do is to put your faith in an allegedly secure encrypted messaging app. Expect mainstream technology to fail and seek out new, unexpected, ways to communicate using mechanisms that aren’t controlled by shadowy third parties.

Only a handful of preppers can afford a $ 70k nuclear bunker.

But if you think about it, there are a lot of natural nuclear shelters in the US that are absolutely free.

All you need to do is to identify the closest one to your home and maybe include it into your bug out plan in case a nuclear war is looming (or an asteroid impact).

Keep in mind that these bunkers are all naturally EMP hardened. But they will protect you only from the nuclear blast and the initial radiation burst.

Sometimes the shelter is so close that is right below your feet. It’s the case in Detroit, where just 1200 Feet below there is a salt mine that can easily shelter the entire population of Detroit! Actually it can shelter over 5 million people.

The salt mine was used to mine table salt, but with the decline in salt prices the mine is now used to mine road salt for winter.  The Michigan basin and the great lakes area (since there are also huge salt mines in Canada), used to be part of a sea which sank into the earth. The salt was left behind and formed the massive deposits that we mine today.

Detroit isn’t the only city with a salt mine below it. Other cities like Houston and Cleveland (1400 feet below) are also situated over salt mines.

So I’m going to start with…

…The Underground Salt Mines:

Salt mines are your best option because they are very spacious with large rooms rather than narrow, dark, high humidity tunnels like you see in mines!

Caves

From 1964-1973 the USA and CIA conducted a secret war to support the Royal Laos Government and to stop the communist incursion by dropping bombs on then communist Lagos and northern Vietnam.  Unbelievably in these years the USA dropped more bombs than any other time in the history of war. 270Million cluster bombs, 210 million more than Iraq in 1991, 1998 and 2006 COMBINED!  7 million tons of bombs, more than twice the amount dropped in Europe and Asia in WWII.  This is equal to a laneload of bombs every 8 minutes, 24 hrs. a day for 9 years.

Kaysone Phomvihane who was the leader of the communist movement led his people to limestone caves in the craggy mountains at the Vietnam boarder.  The shelter has become known as the ‘City of Victory’ and is a tourist attraction.

There is an extensive network of caves all across the USA. I have made a list of the largest ones, state by state for your reference.

There are many advantages to cave living even in an emergency situation.  They tend to retain heat in the winter and are cool in the summer as well as an excellent natural hide away from natural disasters.  There was even a reference to living in limestone caves of Missouri the film “Deep Impact” when comet was to hit the earth and flood a greater part of the world.

The reality is that nature provides most things that we need to survive, so why not a cave as a refuge for war or nuclear bombs?

Underground Mines:

You might find it hard to believe, but Kansas City has a “nuclear shelter” which houses 10 percent of city’s commercial real estate.

Subtropolis – as it is called – is an ex limestone mine with an excavated size of 140 football fields, which was turned into an underground industrial park. The limestone deposits are six times stronger than concrete.

Unfortunately there isn’t a reliable map with all US underground mines. I tried to use Google Maps but it has a lot of other facilities with the name “mines” and also surface mines.

But you can use this website to find the closest mine to your home. Just enter your location and make sure you’ve checked “underground” and a 50 miles radius. The results is your closest “nuclear shelter”.

If you don’t have any mines near your home, scroll down and you’ll find “mines by state”, select your state and see what mines are close to you.

A Final Word

Of course, a specially made nuclear bunker has food, water and oxygen reserves. These natural shelters will protect you only from the nuclear blast and the initial radiation burst.

Chances are that you won’t be warned about a nuclear blast, but (just in case) here are 3 signs that you need to take “nuclear” cover:

1 – When your electronics stop working (most of them)

Most experts agree that the next nuclear war will start with at least an EMP. If one of the nuclear powers blasts a nuclear weapon 275 miles above the US it will produce an EMP that will basically send us, the Canadian and the Mexicans back to the Dark Ages. This is exactly what our enemy wants: to disrupt our communication and our ability to retaliate at full capacity. I have something you need to watch. It’s much better than I am at explaining the threat. Watch it and learn what you should fear most (Video), what an EMP effects and how you can protect your electronics, car, mobile phones, etc.

2 – When you hear on the news that a nuclear bomb has just detonated somewhere

It doesn’t matter if it’s in the US, Russia or China… I’m thinking that when a nuclear bomb explodes we face 3 possibilities: a nuclear war which may involve the US, nuclear terrorism which means that the first explosion may be followed by another four, or human error like in 1956 when the US Air Force accidentally dropped two atomic bombs on North Carolina. If it’s the last case… then yes you’ve probably evacuated in vain. But the risk worth the effort! 

3 – When a Nuclear Bomb explodes a few miles away, but does not kill you.

If you’re not killed in the first few minutes, you can live a lifetime or die of cancer in the next few days. The longer you expose yourself to radiation (in the radioactive area) the lowest the chances to survive. Take your family and leave as fast as you can!

Today, millions of Americans say that they believe that the United States is on the verge of a major economic collapse and will soon be entering another Great Depression. But only a small percentage of those same people are prepared for that to happen. The sad truth is that the vast majority of Americans would last little more than a month on what they have stored up in their homes. Most of us are so used to running out to the supermarket or to Wal-Mart for whatever we need that we never even stop to consider what would happen if suddenly we were not able to do that. Already the U.S. economy is starting to stumble about like a drunken frat boy. All it would take for the entire U.S. to resemble New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina would be for a major war, a terror attack, a deadly pandemic or a massive natural disaster to strike at just the right time and push the teetering U.S. economy over the edge. So just how would you survive if you suddenly could not rely on the huge international corporate giants to feed, clothe and supply you and your family? Do you have a plan?

Unless you already live in a cave or you are a complete and total mindless follower of the establishment media, you should be able to see very clearly that our society is more vulnerable now than it ever has been. This year there have been an unprecedented number of large earthquakes around the world and volcanoes all over the globe are awakening. You can just take a look at what has happened in Haiti and in Iceland to see how devastating a natural disaster can be. Not only that, but we have a world that is full of lunatics in positions of power, and if one of them decides to set off a nuclear, chemical or biological weapon in a major city it could paralyze an entire region. War could erupt in the Middle East at literally any moment, and if it does the price of oil will double or triple (at least) and there is the possibility that much of the entire world could be drawn into the conflict. Scientists tell us that a massive high-altitude EMP (electromagnetic pulse) blast could send large portions of the United States back to the stone age in an instant. In addition, there is the constant threat that the outbreak of a major viral pandemic (such as what happened with the 1918 Spanish Flu) could kill tens of millions of people around the globe and paralyze the economies of the world.

But even without all of that, the truth is that the U.S. economy is going to collapse. So just think of what will happen if one (or more) of those things does happen on top of all the economic problems that we are having.

Are you prepared?

The following is a list of 20 things you and your family will need to survive when the economy totally collapses and the next Great Depression begins….

#1) Storable Foo

Food is going to instantly become one of the most valuable commodities in existence in the event of an economic collapse. If you do not have food you are not going to survive. Most American families could not last much longer than a month on what they have in their house right now. So what about you? If disaster struck right now, how long could you survive on what you have? The truth is that we all need to start storing up food. If you and your family run out of food, you will suddenly find yourselves competing with the hordes of hungry people who are looting the stores and roaming the streets looking for something to eat.

Of course you can grow your own food, but that is going to take time. So you need to have enough food stored up until the food that you plant has time to grow. But if you have not stored up any seeds you might as well forget it. When the economy totally collapses, the remaining seeds will disappear very quickly. So if you think that you are going to need seeds, now is the time to get them.

#2) Clean Water

Most people can survive for a number of weeks without food, but without water you will die in just a few days. So where would you get water if the water suddenly stopped flowing out of your taps? Do you have a plan? Is there an abundant supply of clean water near your home? Would you be able to boil water if you need to?

Besides storing water and figuring out how you are going to gather water if society breaks down, another thing to consider is water purification tablets. The water you are able to gather during a time of crisis may not be suitable for drinking. So you may find that water purification tablets come in very, very handy.

#3) Shelter

You can’t sleep on the streets, can you? Well, some people will be able to get by living on the streets, but the vast majority of us will need some form of shelter to survive for long. So what would you do if you and your family lost your home or suddenly were forced from your home? Where would you go?

The best thing to do is to come up with several plans. Do you have relatives that you can bunk with in case of emergency? Do you own a tent and sleeping bags if you had to rough it? If one day everything hits the fan and you and your family have to “bug out” somewhere, where would that be? You need to have a plan.

#4) Warm Clothing

If you plan to survive for long in a nightmare economic situation, you are probably going to need some warm, functional clothing. If you live in a cold climate, this is going to mean storing up plenty of blankets and cold weather clothes. If you live in an area where it rains a lot, you will need to be sure to store up some rain gear. If you think you may have to survive outdoors in an emergency situation, make sure that you and your family have something warm to put on your heads. Someday after the economy has collapsed and people are scrambling to survive, a lot of folks are going to end up freezing to death. In fact, in the coldest areas it is actually possible to freeze to death in your own home. Don’t let that happen to you.

#5) An Axe

Staying along the theme of staying warm, you may want to consider investing in a good axe. In the event of a major emergency, gathering firewood will be a priority. Without a good tool to cut the wood with that will be much more difficult.

#6) Lighters Or Matches

You will also want something to start a fire with. If you can start a fire, you can cook food, you can boil water and you can stay warm. So in a true emergency situation, how do you plan to start a fire? By rubbing sticks together? Now is the time to put away a supply of lighters or matches so that you will be prepared when you really need them.

In addition, you may want to consider storing up a good supply of candles. Candles come in quite handy whenever the electricity goes out, and in the event of a long-term economic nightmare we will all see why our forefathers relied on candles so much.

#7) Hiking Boots Or Comfortable Shoes

When you ask most people to list things necessary for survival, this is not the first or the second thing that comes to mind. But having hiking boots or very comfortable and functional shoes will be absolutely critical. You may very well find yourself in a situation where you and your family must walk everywhere you want to go. So how far do you think you will get in high heels? You will want footwear that you would feel comfortable walking in for hours if necessary. You will also want footwear that will last a long time, because when the economy truly collapses you may not be able to run out to the shoe store and get what you need at that point.

#8) A Flashlight And/Or Lantern

When the power goes off in your home, what is the first thing that you grab? Just think about it. A flashlight or a lantern of course. In a major emergency, a flashlight or a lantern is going to be a necessity – especially if you need to go anywhere at night.

Solar powered or “crank style” flashlights or lanterns will probably be best during a long-term emergency. If you have battery-powered units you will want to begin storing up lots and lots of batteries.

#9) A Radio

If a major crisis does hit the United States, what will you and your family want? Among other things, you will all want to know what in the world is going on. A radio can be an invaluable tool for keeping up with the news.

Once again, solar powered or “crank style” radios will probably work best for the long term. A battery-powered until would work as well – but only for as long as your batteries are able to last.

#10) Communication Equipment

When things really hit the fan you are going to want to communicate with your family and friends. You will also want to be able to contact an ambulance or law enforcement if necessary. Having an emergency cell phone is great, but it may or may not work during a time of crisis. The Internet also may or may not be available. Be sure to have a plan (whether it be high-tech or low-tech) for staying in communication with others during a major emergency.

#11) A Swiss Army Knife

If you have ever owned a Swiss Army knife you probably already know how incredibly handy they can be. It can be a very valuable and versatile tool. In a true survival situation, a Swiss Army knife can literally do dozens of different things for you. Make sure that you have at least one stored up for emergencies.

#12) Personal Hygiene Items

While these may not be absolute “essentials”, the truth is that life will get very unpleasant very quickly without them. For example, what would you do without toilet paper? Just think about it. Imagine that you just finished your last roll of toilet paper and now you can’t get any more. What would you do?

The truth is that soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, toilet paper and other hygiene products are things that we completely take for granted in society today. So what would happen if we could not go out and buy them any longer?

#13) A First Aid Kit And Other Medical Supplies

One a more serious note, you may not be able to access a hospital or a doctor during a major crisis. In your survival supplies, be absolutely certain that you have a good first aid kit and any other medical supplies that you think you may need.

#14) Extra Gasoline

There may come a day when gasoline is rationed or is simply not available at all. If that happens, how will you get around? Be certain to have some extra gasoline stored away just in case you find yourself really needing to get somewhere someday.

#15) A Sewing Kit

If you were not able to run out and buy new clothes for you and your family, what would you do? Well, you would want to repair the clothes that you have and make them last as long as possible. Without a good sewing kit that will be very difficult to do.

#16) Self-Defense Equipment

Whether it is pepper spray to fend off wild animals or something more “robust” to fend off wild humans, millions of Americans will one day be thankful that they have something to defend themselves with.

#17) A Compass

In the event of a major emergency, you and your family may find yourselves having to be on the move. If you are in a wilderness area, it will be very hard to tell what direction you are heading without a compass. It is always a good idea to have at least one compass stored up.

#18) A Hiking Backpack

If you and your family suddenly have to “bug out”, what will you carry all of your survival supplies in? Having a good hiking backpack or “survival bag” for everyone in your family is extremely important. If something happened in the city where you live and you suddenly had to “go”, what would you put your most important stuff in? How would you carry it all if you had to travel by foot? These are very important things to think about.

#19) A Community

During a long-term crisis, it is those who are willing to work together that will have the best chance of making it. Whether it is your family, your friends, a church or a local group of people that you know, make sure that you have some people that you can rely on and work together with in the event that everything hits the fan. Loners are going to have a really hard time of surviving for long.

#20) A Backup Plan

Lastly, it is always, always, always important to have a backup plan for everything.

If someone comes in and steals all the food that you have stored up, what are you going to do?

If travel is restricted and your can’t get to your “bug out” location immediately do you have a Plan B?

If you have built your house into an impregnable survival fortress but circumstances force you to leave do you have an alternate plan?

The truth is that crisis situations rarely unfold just as we envision. It is important to be flexible and to be ready with backup plans when disaster strikes.

You don’t want to end up like the folks in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. You don’t want to have to rely on the government to take care of you if something really bad happens.

Right now the U.S. strategic grain reserve contains only enough wheat to make half a loaf of bread for each of the approximately 300 million people in the United States.

How long do you think that is going to last?

Now is the time to get ready.

Now is the time to prepare.

The right to access and examine information openly, freely and transparently – and indeed to be told the freakin’ truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth – is a right retained by free people yet denied to slaves.

The contention of the aforementioned health professionals is pretty much aligned with the view of millions – professionals and laymen alike – who now comprise a broad grass roots resistance to what amounts to an attempted coup of planetary dimensions with the world’s most prosperous nations as a primary target.

There is no contention that COVID-19 is a fake virus -albeit there is still no evidence from anywhere that anyone has isolated and identified the virus as a distinct and recognisable entity.

Of course, that fact is itself bizarre. Given the layers of lies, half truths and fabrications that comprise the Covid Terror many are beginning to ask how come we have masked up, locked down, caved in and freaked out on account of a bug nobody has yet, figuratively speaking, laid eyes on?

CEPI, however, are not challenging the assumption that the virus exists but are simply contending that it is not as dangerous as its relenetless marketing has made it out to be.

These doctors and scientists, true to form, are being heavily censored across all social media platforms, and those who write about them are coming under similar attacks.

This is hardly surprising because the success of the entire psyop and the effort by self-appointed herdsmen to subdue, fleece or cull the flock depends on continued mass acceptance of an inceasingly threadbare narrative.

As the cracks start to show and the herd becomes restive, the whole operation will fold if the questioning voices are allowed to be heard.

Hence the extreme, elaborate yet increasingly futile efforts to keep a lid on dissent and silence the voices raised with questions that cannot be given a satisfactory answer, for too many lies have been told and too much damage done in their name.

Many of the claims these doctors make have been ‘debunked’ by such reliable sources (that would never ever lie to us) as the mainstream media, government agencies, various PR fronts for the vax industry and the laughingly named ‘fact-checkers’.

People meanwhile are being encouraged to visit the websites of organisations such as the WHO, a front operation for the pharmaceutical industry, for “information”about COVID-19 that turns out, of course, to be simply forwarding the package of deception that has generated the Covid Terror, instead of listening to the proper doctors and scientists who have risked their careers, livelihoods and reputations to expose the lies with which the populace has been bombarded morning noon and night.

So,  More than 500 German doctors & scientists joined CEPI, which in German is known as  “Außerparlamentarischer Corona Untersuchungsausschuss.”. 

The committee was established to investigate all aspects of the new coronavirus such its severity and whether the actions taken by governments are  justified and not causing more harm than good.

As the Corona-Extra-Parliamentary Inquiry Committee, we will investigate why these restrictive measures were imposed upon us in our country as part of COVID-19, why people are suffering now and whether there is proportionality of the measures to this disease caused by the SARS-COV-2 virus. We have serious doubts that these measures are proportionate. This needs to be examined, and since the parliaments – neither the opposition parties nor the ruling parties – have not convened a committee and it is not even planned, it is high time that we took this into our own hands. We will invite and hear experts here in the Corona speaker group. These are experts from all areas of life: Medicine, social affairs, law, economics and many more.

This group has been giving multiple conferences in Germany.

In one, Dr. Heiko Schöning, one of the organization’s leaders, stated that 

“We have a lot of evidence that it (the new coronavirus) is a fake story all over the world.”

To put it in context, let’de reiterate that he wasn’t referring to the virus being fake but that the pandemic as it has been portrayed is fake, in so far as the virus is no more dangerous than the seasonal flu (or just as dangerous) and that there is no justification for the measures being taken to combat it.

We should also mention here an important reportpublished in the British Medical Journal as early as May suggesting that quarantine measures in the United Kingdom had already killed more UK seniors than the covid19 virus.

Below we had hoped to bring you the video of  press conference held by representatives of the group that took place July, but this apparently – true to form – has been removed by collaborators with the Covid terror faction who really do seem determined to silence these German doctors.

It can be disconcerting for many people to see so many doctors and many of the world’s most renowned scientists and infectious disease experts take a stand to oppose – knowing the considerable risk of so doing to their careers, reputations and livelihoods – the outright lies and disinformation being churned out by the WHO and many governments currently in the hands of subversive factions.

For instance in the USA, Physicians For Informed Consent (PIC) published a report titled, “Physicians for Informed Consent (PIC) Compares COVID-19 to Previous Seasonal and Pandemic Flu Periods.”

According to their fesearch, the infection/fatality rate of COVID-19 is 0.26%.

John P. A. Ioannidis, professor of medicine and epidemiology at Stanford University has said that the infection fatality rate “is close to 0 percent” [yes, ZERO] for people under the age of 45 years old.

He and several other academics from the Stanford School of Medicine suggest that COVID-19 has a similar infection fatality rate to seasonal influenza, and published their findings in a study last July.

Michael Levitt, a biophysicist and Professor of Structural Biology at Stanford University criticized the WHO as well as Facebook for censoring important information and informed perspectives on the virus. He has contended that, concerning lockdown measures, “the level of stupidity going on here is amazing.”

Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi, a specialist in microbiology and one of the most cited research scientists in German history is also part of the CEPI Committee and has expressed similar views many times.

It is telling that these scientists – all highly reputable experts in their fields – are studiously ignored, or even attacked and villified – by governments and media more keen to take the “advice” of Professor Neil Ferguson, the mathematician famous for his many suitably scary but catastrophically wrong predictions

Implementation of draconian measures, so extreme and damaging as to constitute outright attacks on our communities, can only be justified if there exists a truly exceptional threat to our survival.

My time in the military has gifted me a unique way of looking at the world. I was trained to see where threats lie and take measures to mitigate them. While most people look at their homes as a place of comfort and security, I see them as a target of the unscrupulous underbelly of society.

In this article, I will provide advice and tips on how to increase the security of your home. I have decided to break the topic down into sections based upon what I see as the worst offences in home security.

OPSEC

Operational security (OPSEC) is paramount in the military as it should be in your home. I feel that this is where a lot of families fail and should take more careful consideration.

In the military information is distributed on a ‘need to know’ basis. Individuals outside of your household and family unit do not need to know all of your movements and the inner workings of your home.

Fortunately, there are some simple steps that you can take to lock down your family’s OPSEC.

Social Media

#1. People post far too much on social media. The most obvious and grievous offence is posting that they are away on vacation and leaving their home vacant and ready for pillaging.

Do not post on any social media that you are away from home, instead wait until you return from your trip to post photos.

Social media is a major source of intelligence gathering for the criminal element as well as our enemies abroad.

#2. Be careful of the pictures and videos that you take and post of the inside of your home. This includes live video streams like Zoom or Skype. What you are in effect doing, is allowing would-be thieves to create a complete inventory of the valuables in your home. If you have to video conference do so in a way that the background is a blank wall.

#3. On that note, do not post anywhere online the expensive jewelry or electronics that you have bought.

#4. Also, never under any circumstances post or indicate on social media that you have firearms or other weapons in your home.

You should not disclose to anyone the presence of firearms or other weapons in your home and ensure that your children understand this as well.

Confidentiality

#5. Keep all door/alarm codes and passwords strictly confidential and known to only those who are required to know them. This includes Wi-Fi password access to your network, which can become a major security risk especially if you have smart home devices.

Never use the default password for your router, instead create as strong a password as possible using an online password generator.

#6. Make sure that your children understand what things they should not disclose to their friends and classmates. Children are the weakest link in your family’s OPSEC and they are going to have to be constantly reminded of the rules.

#7. When you do leave your home vacant for any period do everything in your power to make it appear occupied.

Set timers for lights, leave a vehicle in the driveway.

Also, make sure you have a friend or family member collect your mail and papers.

Physical Security

There is nothing that can prevent someone with ill intent from eventually entering your home. The best you can do is make your home unappealing to break into and as difficult to enter as possible.

In the military, we would have multiple layers of defence and deterrents and your home should too.

#8. Control who has keys to your home. Sometimes we need to give contractors access to conduct their work. Some deadbolts can be re-keyed in seconds by the homeowner. This allows you to provide a key to a contractor and upon completion of the job the deadbolt can be re-keyed denying them access.

Another option is a deadbolt with a keypad where you can set a code for contractors or family members to use that you can revoke at any time.

#9. Get a dog and train the dog to bark every time there is a knock at the door or the doorbell rings.

My chocolate lab scares the crap out of every delivery person who comes by. I have watched people on my surveillance cameras decide to not approach the front door when they hear the barking from inside. The size of the dog is not as important as the volume of its bark.

Putting a beware of dog sign out also helps to deter would-be intruders.

Secure Your House

#10. Install the best deadbolts and door locks that you can afford.

Do not use any locks that are Wi-Fi or Bluetooth capable since these locks can be hacked and opened with the right equipment.

Also, install door latches and locks that can only be accessed from the inside.

This way anyone wishing to invade your home while you are inside, will have to effectively bash the door off the hinges to fully gain access.

This will give you time to escape or for law enforcement to arrive. One tactic the army always instilled in me was to always have a way out.

#11. Install motion lights around your home to eliminate any areas of shadow that intruders can use to conceal their activities. This is why military bases have floodlights illuminating the perimeter.

#12. Install security cameras around your home covering every entryway. When something goes bump in the night you can check the cameras rather than exit your home putting yourself at risk.

#13. Home alarm systems are great, but you need to advertise to criminals that the alarm exists.

The sign and stickers your alarm company includes with the system should be clean and visible from the street.

When I worked in private security I watched would-be thieves, avoid doors with alarm stickers, and test the locks on doors that had no alarm stickers.

Situational Awareness

Being aware of your surroundings is probably the most important action you can take when it comes to not only your security but the security of your home.

In the military being detail-oriented was very important as well as being constantly aware of one’s surroundings. We had it constantly drilled into us to always be aware and to never slip into complacency.

#14. Keep an eye on your neighbourhood. Get to know who your neighbours are and the types of vehicles that are usually parked in the area or driving around. This way if a criminal element is scoping out homes in the area you are more likely to notice because they will seem out of place.

#15. Do not blindly approach your front door when coming home. When you are unlocking the main entry door with your back turned you are very vulnerable to attack. Take a look around before unlocking your door.

#16. Never open the front door to strangers. As soon as the door is unlocked and opened a crack it only takes a swift kick to gain entry.

If you have a storm door you can use this as a barrier between you and the stranger. Some security cameras have two-way voice communication which you can use to talk to people who come knocking.

Be Really Careful About This

#17. One tactic that criminals often use is to impersonate a police officer, city worker, or personnel from a utility company. Society has conditioned us to be trusting of people in uniforms and I can tell you from experience that wearing a uniform and walking with a sense of purpose, has granted me access to many areas I was not authorized to be in.

The same is true of anyone wearing a high-vis vest carrying a clipboard. Always check the credentials of anyone knocking at your door. If a police officer is at your front door politely ask to see a badge and then call the local detachment to confirm that they are a real police officer. The same works for city or utility workers, always call and confirm their credentials.

None of us should live in fear but having a healthy level of awareness and a security mindset will only serve to keep you and your family safe and secure from potential home invasion or burglary.

These tips and suggestions are only a few that come from years of training and experience as a soldier and I am confident they will serve to secure your home.

There are many millions of Americans today in the post-election environment that feel uneasy about the fate of the country given the rise of a Biden presidency. And though I understand why this tension exists, I want to offer a possible “silver lining”; a different way of looking at the situation:

With Biden in the White House, there is no longer any ambiguity about what conservatives (and some of the more courageous moderates) need to do and need to accomplish. Now we know where we stand, and now the stakes are clear.

They actually believed the system could be repaired and corruption ended from within, and without much effort on our part beyond our votes. Trump made many conservatives lazy.

Then there was the Q-anon-sense floating around on the web which also misled some freedom activists into thinking that people much higher placed or “smarter” than us were fighting the good fight behind the scenes and that the globalists would be swept up in a grand 4D chess maneuver. This was a fantasy; it was never going to happen. Finally, everyone knows this and we can get on with the business of fighting the real battles ahead.

I think we are reaching a stage in the conflict between freedom advocates and collectivist tyrants when many illusions are going to melt away, and all we will be left with is cold hard reality. Now is the time when we find out who is going to stand their ground and fight for what they believe in, and who is going to cower and submit just to save their own skin. Now is the time when we find out who has balls.

The last four years plus the election of 2020 have revealed that political solutions are out the window. A lot of conservatives should have known better, but maybe it takes a perceived disaster to shock some people out of their waking dreams. Elections, voting, potential third parties; it’s all Kabuki theater. It’s all a facade to keep us docile and under control.

The liberty movement cannot revolve around a single political figure. We cannot bottleneck out efforts into the hands of one man or one political party. The fight is up to us – each of us as individuals. It was ALWAYS up to us.

A different form of organization needs to happen if Americans are going to protect our freedoms; a grassroots approach from the ground up rather than the top down. There will of course be people who stand out as teachers and pioneers, those that lead by example. But overall, the movement will not be acting on orders from on high. Rather, it will be acting according to self motivation. The liberty movement is not driven by personalities, but by shared principles which take on a life of their own.

I’m not worried about Biden. In fact, his presence may be the best thing to happen to conservative unity in well over a decade. The only thing I worry about, as noted, is who is going to stand their ground, and who is going to give in?

Biden may also be a wake up call for any moderate democrats out there who thought that by voting for a hair-sniffing corporate puppet they might put an end to the division and civil unrest in the nation. I think they will discover that Joe will attract even MORE civil unrest. He may even trigger more looting and rioting by Antifa and BLM during his administration than Trump did, by the simple fact these insane people will assume that Biden will be malleable and easier to exploit.

Biden himself is not all that important; he is nothing more than a foil for bigger events and a proxy for more nefarious people. His presence signals that the “Great Reset” agenda is fully greenlit. This agenda has a pretty obvious set of goals, many of them openly admitted to by the World Economic Forum, and some of them strongly implied by the extreme political left and the media. They include:

1) Perpetual pandemic lockdowns and economic controls until the population submits to medical tyranny.

2) Medical passports and contact tracing as a part of everyday life.

3) The censorship and de-platforming of all voices that oppose the agenda.

4) Greatly reduced economic activity in the name of stopping “climate change”.

5) Greatly increased poverty and the loss of private property.

6) The introduction of “Universal Basic Income” in which the government becomes the all-powerful welfare provider and nursemaid for a generation of dependent and desperate people.

7) A cashless society and digital currency system where privacy in trade is completely erased.

8) creation of a “shared economy” in which no one will own anything and independent production is outlawed.

9) The deletion of national borders and the end of sovereignty and self-determination.

10) The centralization of global political power into the hands of a select few elitists.

Now, you would think that most sensible people would be opposed to such a dystopian agenda. It would inevitably lead to mass death in economic terms, as well as war. Unless you are a psychopath that gets a vicarious thrill from the brutal oppression of millions of people, or you are a globalist that stands to gain immense power, there is nothing about the Reset that benefits you.

That said, there will still be millions of useful idiots that support totalitarian policies, and they will act to enforce them. Some of them will be convinced that they are serving the “greater good”, and others will think that they can “earn a place at the table” if they lick the boots of tyrants long enough. Bottom line? It’s not just the globalists we need to worry about, it is also the contingent of zombies they have duped or bribed into serving the Reset.

The information war is about to take a backseat and a new fight is about to begin. But how will it start?

I believe the first test for conservatives will be Biden’s pandemic response. The Reset agenda and the pandemic are closely intertwined. Do not be misled by calls from Democrats to reopen the economy; there are strings attached.

When New York Governor Andrew Cuomo stated that the state needed to reopen, or there would be “nothing left”, he also consistently hinted that vaccination numbers needed to improve. There are two big lies involved in this narrative – The first is that the vaccination rollout has failed on a technical level.

They want us to believe that only around 60% of the first 2 million vaccine doses have been administered because the state and hospitals failed to get them to citizens fast enough. The truth is, as we’ve seen in numerous polls of Americans and medical staff, millions of people DO NOT WANT to take the vaccine. The situation in New York must be shocking to establishment elites; it’s one of the most leftists states in the US and yet they can’t seem to trick enough people into taking the shot.

The same is true across the country, and it’s not because of bureaucratic failure, it is a propaganda failure.

Second, Cuomo’s statements hint that though lockdowns are destroying the economy, vaccine saturation is paramount. The message is this – “Take the vaccine, or the economy will crash.” The pandemic response is a carrot and stick approach: The lockdowns are the stick, and the reopenings are the carrot.

Of course, even if most people get vaccinated and submit to medical passports and contact tracing like good little slaves, this does not mean life will go back to normal. On the contrary, things will get much worse.

As I have noted in past articles like ‘Waves Of Mutilation: Medical Tyranny And The Cashless Society’, the globalists have admitted that the covid mandates and controls are going to be in place for many years, perhaps forever. Elites at MIT and the Imperial College Of London have written extensively about a strategy I call “Wave Theory”, in which governments constantly batter the public with waves of lockdowns followed by brief windows of partial openings and limited freedom.

The reopenings are a trick, a way to release public tension like a steam valve and make everyone think that the crisis is almost over. Then, the draconian mandates are brought back once again. This will never end. The only way to stop it is to remove the globalists from power and crush the Reset agenda.

A new narrative is already being injected into the mainstream media hinting that even vaccinations will not lead to freedom.

Anthony Fauci and others have argued that those who are vaccinated still need to follow lockdown mandates and wear masks. This policy completely ignores the scientific FACT that the death rate of covid is only 0.26% for anyone outside of a nursing home. It ignores the fact that masks have been consistently proven to do nothing to stop the spread of the virus. It ignores the fact that hospitals across the US have remained mostly empty, with only 15% of capacity in use during Covid . And, it ignores the fact that the vaccines are barely tested experimental cocktails that even the former VP of Pfizer has warned might cause dangerous autoimmune reactions and infertility.

On top of this, more and more stories about “covid mutations” are hitting the news wire. They are supposedly more infectious and more deadly than the original (which runs contrary to the natural evolution of the vast majority of viruses), and the mutation in South Africa is also “possibly” unaffected by existing vaccines. There is no concrete proof to support any of the claims, but I think you see where all of this is headed, right?

My guess is that in about two months the CDC and WHO will announce a new global outbreak of a more deadly strain of Covid. They will say the current vaccines are ineffective, and that lockdowns must continue. Hundreds of millions of people around the world are savvy to the old covid-19 scheme, so the elites are going to introduce covid-20, and covid-21, and covid-22, etc.

Biden will call for Level 4 lockdowns similar to those implemented in Europe and Australia, and this is where conservatives must draw a line in the sand and announce that we are not subject to unconstitutional restrictions, that we are breaking free. This will be our first major test.

It’s not enough to simply say “I won’t submit” when the consequences are minimal. One must be willing to fight back even when the consequences are dire. Being willing to lose everything for what you believe, being willing to possibly die for your values and principles means you are no longer a spectator in history, but an actor that can affect the future. Anything less is not enough to win the war that is coming.

FBI agents across the nation are tracking down and arresting Trump supporters who walked into the US Capitol during the January 6 protest that turned into a brawl. Scores of protestors have already been charged with unlawful entry—“knowingly entering or remaining in a restricted building or grounds without lawful authority.” The media is treating this as a heinous and self-evident offense, but my own experience at Washington protests makes me wary of treating transgressions as treason.

I roamed downtown Washington on the day before the inauguration. The city was a ghost town, and most of the stores were either boarded up or out of business. More than a dozen subway stops were barricaded shut to prevent any guys wearing furry hats with horns from suddenly appearing from underground to strike terror into the hearts of the media.

Practically the only folks on the streets were National Guard troops touting automatic weapons (mostly without ammo magazines). There were snipers on rooftops and helicopters occasionally buzzing overhead—all part of what DC mayor Muriel Bowser hailed as the “peaceful transition of power in our country.” If it had been even more “peaceful,” drones would have been blowing up manhole covers. Deploying twenty thousand troops in the nation’s capital was noncontroversial for the nation’s media, because the soldiers were supposedly protecting America against right-wing extremists.

At Farragut Square, I entered the “green zone”—the official term for the area the military locked down and the same term the US military used earlier in Baghdad. I ambled over to the edge of Lafayette Park next to the White House, scene of clashes between demonstrators and police last June and a Trump photo op that went awry. I have witnessed many rowdy protests at this park over the decades, but it was walled off with thick wire fencing. I could see the forms of soldiers on the other side of the barrier but not much else. No chance of getting even a glimpse of the White House.

I chatted with a Secret Service policeman guarding the entrance to the park. When I said I was heading toward the Mall, he replied: “You can’t go through here but if you go down to the next block—Seventeenth Street—you can walk to Constitution Avenue from there.”

I thanked the dude and made tracks. But after walking a block or two on Seventeenth, further progress was barred by a tangle of high barriers.

I saw a solitary soldier standing guard to make sure that no pickpockets carted off one of the four thousand–pound concrete jersey barriers blocking the road. He told me that if I went one block over, to Eighteenth Street, that was clear all the way to the Mall.

At Constitution Avenue, I saw that the Mall was completely barricaded. On the other side of the high fences, I saw troops patrolling with their rifles at the ready in case anyone tried to kidnap the geese in the Reflecting Pool.

In the distance, I could see the Washington Monument, but that was as close as I could get—that landmark was protected by row after row of barricades, from the edge of Constitution Avenue onward. To justify writing off my subway fare as a business expense, I took a bevy of bad photos, including a few with a large yellow Police Line Do Not Cross sign juxtaposed with the base of the monument.

Heading back up Eighteenth Street, I ran into another military roadblock—a half dozen soldiers staked out by a closed subway station. I told them I was looking to get to Dupont Circle. A young soldier with a heavy Southern accent replied, “You can’t go this away. The road is closed at the end of this block.”

“Why?”

“I don’t know. I’m just following orders. You can go over to the next block—Seventeenth Street—and go up on that road.”

I tipped my hat to the dude and ambled along. There was no rhyme or reason to the street closures—just a long series of arbitrary edicts.

A pack of Metropolitan Police bicyclists suddenly came up the street. There was a slight incline in the road, so the cops were struggling like Tour de France riders crossing the highest peak in the French Alps.

As I watched their arduous ascent, I flashed back to fifteen years earlier when I had roamed the same street on my road bike while hundreds of thousands of marchers protested the Bush administration’s Iraq War. That event was well organized, with plenty of activist lawyers stationed along the route with cameras to document if the police used any brutality on the peaceful demonstrators. I had walked my bike with the marchers as they passed the Treasury building on the east side of the White House, where I snapped my all-time favorite photo of a glassy-eyed cop.

After hoofing for a mile with the protestors, I hopped on my bike, zipped down the street between Lafayette Park and the White House and then swung down Seventeenth Street on the west side of the White House. That road was almost empty except for two cops standing in the middle twenty-five yards ahead of me. As I got closer to them, a fat cop suddenly raised his four-foot wooden pole over his head and began moving directly into my path.

I was puzzled until I heard the other cop mumbling about how I wasn’t allowed on that street. His partner was getting ready to bust his stick over my head.

I revved up my speed, veered to the right, and laughed at the flatfoot over my shoulder. The street closing was not marked, but cops were still entitled to assail any violators—as long as there was no one around to film the beating. Actually, if that cop had smashed me with that pole, I might have been arrested on ginned-up charges such as assaulting a policeman. In the same way that cops routinely justify shooting motorists by claiming the driver was trying to run them down, so the pole dude might have claimed I was trying to run him over.

This struck me as a microcosm of what American society is becoming—more and more government agents waiting to whack anyone who violates a secret, unannounced rule.

I rode around the area to the west of the White House and, hearing some speakers in the distance, swung down another street toward the Ellipse in front of the White House. As I reached the intersection with Seventeenth Street, a gnarly police commander with a burning cigar butt clenched between his teeth screamed at me: “How did you get here!?!”

“I rode down the street,” I replied.

“You’re not allowed to come down on this street!”

“I didn’t see any signs or anything prohibiting it,” I said.

“I had two policemen at the entrance of the street,” he raged. “How did you sneak by them?”

I said I hadn’t seen anyone.

The cop boss was tottering on the edge of arresting me. Another policeman, dressed in civvies, suggested to this cigar chomper that he just let me go through the opening of the metal sawhorses.

Not a chance. The boss cop insisted that I reverse course and ride back down that street. I did so and, at the end of that block, I saw four DC police officers lounging in the shade, talking and laughing among themselves. Regardless of his subordinates’ negligence, the police commander took great satisfaction in reversing one bicyclist’s path. Maybe he even reported it as an “antiterrorism success” to superiors that day.

What the hell, I avoided getting thumped that day. But the flashback made me think of the plight of the hundreds of protestors who entered the Capitol on January 6 and now are facing legal ruin or long prison sentences.

In the past few weeks, the media and Democratic politicians have caterwauled that the clash at the Capitol was an attempted coup, putsch, or “insurrection” (the preferred label in the House of Representatives’s impeachment of Trump). A small number of participants assaulted police and did serious property damage. But most of the protestors entered the Capitol through open doors and wreaked no havoc once they had crossed the threshold. Videos show Capitol policemen doing nothing to impede legions of protestors who often stayed inside the designated rope lines for visitors. As American Conservative founder Pat Buchanan noted, “Had it been [A]ntifa or BLM that carried out the invasion, not one statue would have been left standing in Statuary Hall.” Many of the participants said they didn’t realize they were prohibited from entering the Capitol, and the vast majority left peacefully after a brief visit.

Most Americans support vigorous prosecution of protestors who physically assaulted police at the Capitol. But partly because of the thundering chorus that all participants were guilty of treason, and partly because of Democrats’ and media allies’ howling about the Capitol being “holy” and a “temple,” peaceful protestors also face legal ruin and possibly long jail sentences. The Washington Post reported, “Authorities say they could ultimately arrest hundreds, building some of their cases with the social media posts and live streams of alleged participants who triumphantly broadcast images of the mob.”

Federal prosecutors may pile “seditious conspiracy” charges atop the “unlawful entry” offense, threatening protestors with twenty-year prison sentences. Overcharging is routinely done by the feds to browbeat guilty pleas from people who cannot afford thousands of dollars in legal fees to prove their innocence. But the Justice Department may be realizing that many of its cases against the roughly eight hundred protestors who entered the Capitol could explode in the government’s face. Most of the 135 people charged thus far have no criminal records, and many are former military. The Washington Post noted on Saturday that

some federal officials have argued internally that those people who are known only to have committed unlawful entry—and were not engaged in violent, threatening or destructive behavior—should not be charged….Other agents and prosecutors have pushed back against that suggestion, arguing that it is important to send a forceful message that the kind of political violence and mayhem on display Jan. 6 needs to be punished to the full extent of the law.

One federal law enforcement official commented, “If an old man says all he did was walk in and no one tried to stop him, and he walked out and no one tried to stop him, and that’s all we know about what he did, that’s a case we may not win.” If the cases are all tried in Washington, then that would mean that the DC federal court would have to handle almost three times as many criminal cases as its total caseload for 2020. The Post noted that top officials are keenly aware that “the credibility of the Justice Department and the FBI are at stake in such decisions” on prosecuting protestors. It will take only a few cases against protestors to be squashed by jury nonguilty verdicts to severely damage the histrionic sedition storyline of the January 6 clash.

Americans who hanker to legally impale peaceful Capitol protestors should pause to recognize that far more turf in this nation may soon be permanently off limits to private citizens. DC Mayor Bowser warned that after the inauguration, “We are going to go back to a new normal. I think our entire country is going to have to deal with…a very real and present threat to our nation.” Some members of Congress favor turning Capitol Hill into the equivalent of a supermax prison, permanently surrounding the area with a high fence with razor wire. House speaker Nancy Pelosi says every day on Capitol Hill should be a “national security event.” Will that mean TSA-style checkpoints with far more pointless prodding of anyone who deigns to step onto federal grounds? The George W. Bush administration was notorious for decreeing vast “restricted zones” around the president when he traveled around the nation. Anyone who protested or even held up a critical sign in those areas could face arrest and federal prosecution. That type of repression could be revived by Biden, who was notorious for his dreadful record on civil liberties when he was chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee.

In a free society, peaceful citizens deserve the legal benefit of the doubt. In an age where government agents have endlessly intruded onto people’s land and into their emails, citizens should not be scourged for transgressing unknown or unmarked federal boundaries. There are enough real criminals in this nation that federal prosecutors don’t need to seek publicity by destroying people who may have unknowingly illicitly violated politicians’ sacred turf.
