Because I’m a bit OCD, I realized in March 2020 that Americans were doing masks wrong. People were constantly taking the same mask off and then putting it on again after it had spent time in pockets, purses, car seats, and backpacks, or just been dangling under their chins. In my OCD imagination, I could see the cross-contaminants grow and fester. This is especially true for healthy, normal children who are grubby disease vectors. I was right, too. Parents in Florida sent five kids’ masks and one adult mask to a lab at the University of Florida. The results were scary and disgusting, for the masks had plenty of dangerous pathogens. The only thing missing from the masks was COVID.

The parents were concerned about potential contaminants on the mask, which is why they contacted the University of Florida’s Mass Spectrometry Research and Education Center for analysis. Each mask sent to the lab had been either new or freshly laundered at the start of the day. Then, the kids and the adult wore them for five to eight hours. The kids, aged 6 through 11, wore their masks for in-person schooling. In addition, for each mask, the parents sent samples from a t-shirt that one of the children had been wearing. Three of the masks were surgical masks, two were cotton, and one was a poly gaiter.

According to Rational Ground, which reported this story, the analysis showed 11 dangerous pathogens on the masks:

• Streptococcus pneumoniae (pneumonia)
• Mycobacterium tuberculosis (tuberculosis)
• Neisseria meningitidis (meningitis, sepsis)
• Acanthamoeba polyphaga (keratitis and granulomatous amebic encephalitis)
• Acinetobacter baumanni (pneumonia, blood stream infections, meningitis, UTIs—resistant to antibiotics)
• Escherichia coli (food poisoning)
• Borrelia burgdorferi (causes Lyme disease)
• Corynebacterium diphtheriae (diphtheria)
• Legionella pneumophila (Legionnaires’ disease)
• Staphylococcus pyogenes serotype M3 (severe infections—high morbidity rates)
• Staphylococcus aureus (meningitis, sepsis)

Half of the masks were contaminated with one or more strains of pneumonia-causing bacteria. One-third were contaminated with one or more strains of meningitis-causing bacteria. One-third were contaminated with dangerous, antibiotic-resistant bacterial pathogens. In addition, less dangerous pathogens were identified, including pathogens that can cause fever, ulcers, acne, yeast infections, strep throat, periodontal disease, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, and more.

Just about the only thing that didn’t show up on the masks was COVID, even though the test was sensitive enough to have revealed COVID had it existed.

It doesn’t take a genius, or even a neurotic person, to figure out the stupidity of sticking masks on children’s faces for hours a day, without regard for cross-contamination or the amount of time worn. It actually speaks well for the immune systems of American children that we didn’t have massive outbreaks of a medieval spectrum of dangerous diseases.

If America survives, we will look back on this interval and be as unable to comprehend what happened as we are when we struggle to understand the mindset of people living hundreds or even thousands of years ago. This was a year of collective madness unlike anything seen before in American history.

At one time, the term “terrorist” was used very narrowly. The official definition of terrorism is “The use, or threat, of force with the intention of achieving a political goal.” That makes it pretty clear what sort of people are covered, and for decades it worked well.  The government applied the label “terrorist” to people like Osama bin Laden and other Islamic jihadists.  But the Obama administration removed all references to Islam from terror training materials, and instead the term “terrorist” was applied to large groups of American citizens.

And if you are a “terrorist”, that means that you have no rights and the government can treat you just like it treats the terrorists that were being held at Guantanamo Bay.  So if you belong to a group of people that is now being referred to as “potential terrorists”, please don’t take it as a joke.  The first step to persecuting any group of people is to demonize them.  And right now large groups of peaceful, law-abiding citizens are being ruthlessly demonized.

The groups of people in the list above are considered “problems” that need to be dealt with.  In some of the documents referenced above, members of the military are specifically warned not to have anything to do with such groups.

We are moving into a very dangerous time in American history.  You can now be considered a “potential terrorist” just because of your religious or political beliefs.  Free speech is becoming a thing of the past, and we are rapidly becoming an Orwellian society that is the exact opposite of what our founding fathers intended.

U.S. District Judge Lynn Hughes ruled that Texas law only protects employees from being fired if they are asked to commit an illegal act that carries criminal penalties. Getting a COVID vaccine is “not an illegal act,” the judge said.

A federal judge in Texas on Saturday dismissed a lawsuit by healthcare workers who accused their employer of “unlawfully forcing its employees” to receive the COVID vaccine.

Jennifer Bridges and 116 other plaintiffs said Houston Methodist Hospital is forcing employees to get COVID vaccines that are “experimental and dangerous.” Firing employees for refusing the vaccine is “wrongful termination,” the plaintiffs said.

The hospital last week suspended nearly 200 employees who refused the vaccine.

U.S. District Judge Lynn Hughes ruled Texas law only protects employees from being fired if they are asked to commit an illegal act that carries criminal penalties. According to the judge’s ruling, “receiving a COVID-19 vaccination is not an illegal act, and it carries no criminal penalties.”

The plaintiffs argued requiring employees to get the COVID vaccine violates federal law because the vaccines have not received full approval by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and are still Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) products.

Hughes dismissed this claim, saying the law authorizes the Secretary of Health and Human Services to roll out “medical products intended for use in an emergency.”

Hughes said:

“[The law] confers certain powers and responsibilities to the Secretary of Health and Human Services in an emergency. It neither expands nor restricts the responsibilities of private employers; in fact, it does not apply at all to private employers like the hospital in this case. It does not confer a private opportunity to sue the government, employer, or worker.”

In his ruling, Hughes said, claims that the vaccines are dangerous are “false, and it is also irrelevant.”

The ruling means employees of the Texas hospital must provide proof of being vaccinated for COVID or lose their job.

Mary Holland, Children’s Health Defense president and general counsel, said the decision is “disappointing” and “there are grounds for an appeal.”

Holland said:

“I think the judge has misinterpreted federal law and does not fully understand the true implications of Emergency Use Authorization status. Because EUA means the product is experimental, you can’t be forced to take it. No employer can mandate the COVID vaccine while it remains under EUA.”

Jared Woodfill, an attorney representing Bridges and other plaintiffs, said his clients are “committed to fighting this unjust policy.”

Woodfill told Fox News, Houston Methodist is using COVID vaccine mandates to promote profits. The hospital is trying to convince patients to leave their healthcare provider and come to Houston Methodist because all of its employees are vaccinated, said Woodfill.

“The problem with that line of thinking,” said Woodfill, “is that you’re telling the hospital’s employees they are going to be human guinea pigs.”

For the plaintiffs, “this is a question of being able to pay their house notes, pay their car notes, provide for their families and avoid bankruptcy,” said Woodfill. “It’s just plain wrong.”

Dr. Marc Boom, CEO and president of Houston Methodist, said in a statement:

“…99 percent of Houston Methodist’s 26,000 employees have met the requirements for the vaccination mandate. It is unfortunate that the few remaining employees who refuse to get vaccinated and put our patients first are responding in this way.”

Under federal law, employers and universities cannot legally mandate COVID vaccines because they are unlicensed Emergency Use Authorization products which are, by definition, experimental.

With more than 100 U.S. colleges mandating COVID vaccines for in-person attendance and schools enforcing mask mandates, it’s critical people understand their rights.

The bottom line is this: mandating products authorized for Emergency Use Authorization status (EUA) violates federal law as detailed in the following legal notifications.

All COVID vaccines, COVID PCR and antigen tests, and masks are merely EUA-authorized, not approved or licensed, by the federal government. Long-term safety and efficacy have not been proven.

EUA products are by definition experimental, which requires people be given the right to refuse them. Under the Nuremberg Code, the foundation of ethical medicine, no one may be coerced to participate in a medical experiment. Consent of the individual is “absolutely essential.”

Earlier this year, Mary Holland, Children’s Health Defense president and general counsel, and attorney Greg Glaser stated that federal law prohibits employers from mandating EUA COVID vaccines (or EUA COVID-19 tests or masks).

Holland and Glaser wrote:

“If a vaccine has been issued EUA by the FDA, it is not fully licensed and must be voluntary. A private party, such as an employer, school or hospital cannot circumvent the EUA law, which prohibits mandates. Indeed, the EUA law preventing mandates is so explicit that there is only one precedent case regarding an attempt to mandate an EUA vaccine.”

What to do if your school or employer says you must get the COVID vaccine

The Children’s Health Defense legal team has written three legal notifications that anyone faced with a COVID vaccine, COVID test or mask mandate can use to inform employers and universities that they are violating federal law.

All of the notifications include this language: 

“Federal law, Title 21 U.S.C. § 360bbb-3(e)(1)(A)(ii)(I-III) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, states the following about products granted emergency authorization usage:

Individuals to whom the product is administered are informed—

(I) that the Secretary has authorized the emergency use of the product;

(II) of the significant known and potential benefits and risks of such use, and of the extent to which such benefits and risks are unknown; and

(III) of the option to accept or refuse administration of the product, of the consequences, if any, of refusing administration of the product, and of the alternatives to the product that are available and of their benefits and risks.

Any entity or organization that requires EUA COVID-19 vaccinations, COVID-19 tests or masks are in violation of federal law, and will likely face lawsuits if they don’t allow exemptions or alternatives.”

Submitting the notices prepared by Children’s Health Defense is the first step prior to seeking an exemption or taking legal action.

The U.S. military has been forced by the coronavirus pandemic to make some serious changes in their operations. But the Pentagon, and especially the Navy, have also displayed a revealing resistance to moves to stand down that were clearly needed to protect troops from the raging virus from the start.

The Army and Marine Corps have shifted from in-person to virtual recruitment meetings. But the Pentagon has reversed an initial Army decision to postpone further training and exercises for at least 30 days, and it has decided to continue sending new recruits from all the services to basic training camps, where they would no doubt be unable to sustain social distancing.

On Thursday, the captain of the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt, on which the virus was reportedly spreading, was relieved of command. He was blamed by his superiors for the leak of a letter he wrote warning the Navy that failure to act rapidly threatened the health of his 5,000 sailors.

Secretary of Defense Mark Esper justified his decision to continue many military activities as usual by declaring these activities are “critical to national security.” But does anyone truly believe there is a military threat on the horizon that the Pentagon must prepare for right now? It is widely understood outside the Pentagon that the only real threat to that security is the coronavirus itself.

Esper’s decisions reflect a deeply ingrained Pentagon habit of protecting its parochial military interests at the expense of the health of American troops. This pattern of behavior recalls the far worse case of the U.S. service chiefs once managing the war in Europe. They acted with even greater callousness toward the troops being called off to war in Europe during the devastating “Spanish flu” pandemic of 1918, which killed 50 million people worldwide.

Itwas called the “Spanish flu” only because, while the United States, Britain and France were all censoring news about the spread of the pandemic in their countries to maintain domestic morale, the press in neutralist Spain was reporting freely on influenza cases there. In fact, the first major wave of infections in the United States came in U.S. training camps set up to serve the war.

Abundant documentary evidence shows that the 1918 pandemic actually began in Haskell County, Kansas, in early 1918, when many residents came down with an unusually severe type of influenza. Some county residents were then sent to the Army’s Camp Funston at Ft. Riley, Kansas, the military’s largest training facility, training 50,000 recruits at a time for the war. Within two weeks, thousands of soldiers at the camp became sick with the new influenza virus, and 38 died.

Recruits at 14 of 32 large military training camps set up across the country to feed the U.S. war in Europe soon reported similar influenza outbreaks, apparently because some troops from Camp Funston had been sent there. By May 1918, hundreds of thousands of troops, many of whom were already infected, began boarding troopships bound for Europe, and the crowding onboard the ships created ideal conditions for the virus to explode further.

In the trenches in France, still more U.S. troops continued to be sickened by the virus, at first with milder illness and relatively few deaths But the war managers simply evacuated the sick and brought in fresh replacements, allowing the virus to adapt and mutate into more virulent and more lethal strains.

The consequences of that approach to the war became evident after the August 27 arrival in Boston harbor, when visitors brought a much more virulent and lethal strain of the virus; it quickly entered Boston itself and by September 8, had appeared at Camp Devens outside the city. Within ten days, the camp had thousands of soldiers sick with the new strain, and some of those infected at the camp boarded troops ships for Europe.

Meanwhile the lethal new strain spread from Camp Devens across the United States through September and October, ravaging one city after another. From September onward, the U.S. command in France, led by Gen. John Pershing, and the war managers in the War Department in Washington, were well aware that both U.S. troops already in Europe and the American public were suffering vast numbers of severe illnesses and death from the pandemic.

Nevertheless, Pershing continued to call for large numbers of the replacements for those stricken at the front lines, as well as for new divisions to launch a major offensive late in the year. In a message to the War Department on September 3, Pershing demanded an additional 179,000 troops.

The internal debate that followed that request, recounted by historian Carol R. Byerly, documents the chilling indifference of Pershing and the military bureaucracy in Washington to the fate of American troops they planned to send to war. After watching the horror of lethally-infected soldiers dying of pneumonia in the infected camps, acting Army Surgeon General Charles Richard strongly advised Army Chief of Staff Peyton March in late September against sending troops from the infected camps to France until the epidemic had been brought under control in the surrounding region, and March agreed.

Richard then asked for stopping the draft calls for young men heading for any camp known to be already infected. March wouldn’t go that far, and although the October draft was called off, it was to resume in November. The War Department acknowledged the heavy toll the pandemic was taking on U.S. troops in October 10, informing Pershing that he would get his troops by November 30, “if we are not stopped on account of Influenza, which has now passed the 200,000 mark.”

Richard then called for troops to be quarantined for a week before being shipped to Europe, and that the troopships carry only half the standard number of troops to reduce crowding. When March rejected those moves, which would have made it impossible for him to meet Pershing’s targets, Richard then recommended that all troop shipments be suspended until the influenza pandemic was brought under control, “except such as are demanded by urgent military necessity.”

But the chief of staff rejected such a radical shift in policy, and went to the White House to get President Woodrow Wilson’s approval for the decision. Wilson, obviously recognizing the implications of going ahead under the circumstances, asked why he refused to stop troop transport during the epidemic. March argued that Germany would be encouraged to fight on if it knew “the American divisions and replacements were no longer arriving.”Wilson then approved his decision, refusing to disturb Pershing’s war plans.

But the decision was not carried out fully. The German Supreme Command had already demanded that the Kaiser accept Wilson’s 14 points, and the armistice was signed on November 11.

The disastrous character of the U.S. elite running the First World War is clearly revealed with the astonishing fact that more American soldiers were killed and hospitalized by influenza (63,114) than in combat (53,402). And an estimated 340,00 American troops were hospitalized with influenza/pneumonia, compared with 227,000 hospitalized by Germans attacks.

The lack of concern of Washington bureaucrats for the well-being of the troops, as they pursue their own war interests, appears to be a common pattern—seen too, in the U.S. wars in Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq. Now it has been revealed once again in the stunningly callous response of the Pentagon to the coronavirus pandemic crisis.

In the 1918 war, there was no protest against that cold indifference, but there are now indications that the families of soldiers put being at risk are expressing their anger about it openly to representatives of the military. In a time of socio-political upheaval, and vanishing tolerance for the continuation of endless war, it could be a harbinger of accelerated unraveling of political tolerance for the war state’s overweening power.

Independent media sources have reported that Martin Ackermann, head of Switzerland’s COVID Task Force, is being investigated for fraud, with criminal charges expected due to his unnecessary scaremongering and dissemination of fear porn over the COVID-19 (non)pandemic.

Whereas most of us are aware of leading German lawyer Reiner Fuellmich and his lawsuit against the fraudulent practices of virologist Christian Drosten and Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus of the WHO, it should not be a reason to rest on our laurels. There are numerous cogs, in all of our nations, that have kept the machines of Drosten and Ghebreyesus running.

The vast majority of the population of the world agreed on a whim, in March 2020, to comply with government instructions which effectively shut down life as we know it. This acquiescence was based on the advice of so-called experts. If it can be authenticated and demonstrated that these same experts lied and deceived the public en masse, then there is no reason they should not be sentenced for their crimes. The subsequent lockdowns resulted in crippled businesses, record unemployment, the theft of middle-class wealth, the isolation of the elderly, missed cancer appointments, the house arrest of families, the closure of schools and universities and a staggering increase in mental health issues and drug and alcohol abuse.

Evidence, fourteen months later, shows that death rates in 2020 remained roughly the same as they were in other years, with no major leap in figures as a result of a deadly virus we were told was a threat to humanity. Cases of the regular flu have suddenly disappeared – suggesting that what was once classified as ‘death from influenza’, is now being labelled ‘death from COVID-19’, thus fuelling the pandemic rhetoric further. Even former US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, spoke, not of a plague, but of a ‘live exercise’. PCR tests were misused to maintain the illusion that people were getting sick in droves. Death certificates were doctored to falsely show that people were dying of COVID-19 when they were not. The deception was relentless. Two weeks to flatten the curve later, and it persisted.

While all of this was happening, the media repeated the same lies, hour after hour, plunging the world further into a state of fear. A select number of doctors, scientists and professors became household names as they continuously appeared on prime time television, preying on the anxieties of their viewers, in an effort to enrich themselves in the multi-billion dollar pharmaceutical-industrial complex.

The list of these criminal doctors, scientists and professors is a long one.

So too, should be their prison sentences.

Start with Patrick Vallance, for example. Here is a man who has regularly stood in front of the British people, in his role as Chief Scientific Advisor, and bombarded them with apocalyptic prophecies. A true lockdown fanatic and endlessly chomping at the bit to have everyone detained in their homes, Vallance’s enthusiasm for medical tyranny was even noticed at one point by the Office for Statistics Regulation watchdog group, who had to issue a public warning advising against alarmism. Vallance will, of course, tell you that his over-reactions have been due to his genuine care for the health of the public. He’ll make no mention though of his £600,000 shareholding in GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) – one of the companies that had joined the COVID-19 vaccine production race in 2020.

His sidekick, Chris Whitty, is no better equipped nor any more reliable when it comes to giving public health advice. He is another professor-cum-TV star who has committed the same sins as the aforementioned Swiss doctor, who is due to stand trial. Whitty is the Dr. Death of British television and he specializes in (needless) dire warnings. Watching him on the podium next to Boris Johnson makes one wonder if they’ve mistakenly tuned into an episode of the Addams Family, instead of the nightly news. At one point he even publicly stated that hugging and kissing were acts that could lead to the death of a loved one. He said;

“Would I encourage someone to hug and kiss their elderly relatives? No. I would not….if you want them to survive to be hugged again.”

Whitty would have you believe that his speeches are a means to protect the elderly population of Britain. This argument of course falls flat on its face when we understand that neither he nor anyone else in the British government have done anything to protect the elderly and have instead, went out of their way to target them. Whitty and co. have created an environment of fear, trauma and isolation which ultimately caused the deaths of thousands of care home residents. It is, in fact, the re-engineering of society via his ‘shockvertisements’, that has led to the abandonment of senior citizens and the subsequent untimely demise of so many of them.

Experts predict that an EMP strike that wipes out electricity across the nation would ultimately lead to the demise of up to 90% of the population. However, this figure begs an important question: if we were able to live thousands of years without even the concept of electricity, why would we suddenly all die without it?

Like Vallance, he has been a proponent for lockdowns and has said that he wants to see social distancing measures in place for a very long time to come. No solution to the pandemic illusion has ever been envisioned by Whitty, besides the mass vaccination of everyone on earth. This is unsurprising when we uncover his deep ties to Bill Gates and learn that he was once a recipient of over US$40 million in grants from him and was also heavily involved in the launching of the Gates-backed Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI) foundation.

Not even farmyard animals are safe from Professor Ferguson’s projections. In 2001, they led to the slaughter of livestock across the UK, when 6.5 million animals were culled as part of an effort to contain foot-and-mouth disease. This mass extermination was carried out, despite the fact that only 2000 animals in total were found to have been infected and, ultimately led to financial repercussions to the tune of over £10 billion. On top of this, Ferguson warned the world in 2005 of an Avian Flu outbreak and stated that at least 200 million people would die as a result of been infected with it. When all was said and done, he was out by a mere 199,999,560, as the virus claimed the lives of only 440 people. So much for those computer projections.

A similar number of people died four years later from Swine Flu, despite Ferguson, once again, predicting enormous numbers of deaths and claiming we were due to see a level of mortality not experienced since the 1918 Spanish flu. Fast forward to 2020, and guess who is ranting and raving about computer-generated Coronavirus infection projections, reading from the very same script, and bringing up the Spanish flu yet again.

His scaremongering and finger-pointing have been incessant, as he attempts to terrify a nation, putting out ludicrous warnings and pushing preposterous public policy, such as the mandatory wearing of masks on the beach and even in the sea. On top of this, he has reacted harshly, live on-air, to any suggestion that the economy is reopened, miserably admonishing those who suggest so and warning them of allowing the virus to ‘run riot.’ His fear porn is extensive and not exclusively aimed at the frail and elderly. In one show he turned his attention to the youth of the UK and ominously claimed;

“Young people can get this too. This can be a very serious illness.”

Conveniently, this supposed health expert has never made any mention of the disproportionate effect that the pandemic has had on the mental health of children and young adults or the trends currently present in suicidal tendencies, as were discovered when investigated by the authors of a Lancet Psychiatry study and again in a separate study published in the British Journal of Psychiatry. These are, of course, the damaging consequences that the rampant, fear-inducing rants of Dr. Hilary and those like him have had on the younger population of the world, this past year. Yet another reason they should be brought to trial for their criminal psychological attacks on the people.

“After 12 days from the first vaccination of the Astra Zeneca vaccine, you are 100% effective against hospitalisation and death.

Far from preventing hospitalisation and death, the experimental vaccine has, as per the data taken from an April 1st UK government report, caused the hospitalisation of tens of thousands of people and the deaths of over 400 in Britain alone. How does Dr. Sara explain this? How many of the people who have been rendered disabled as a result of the jab, agreed to take it as a result of her advice? How many of the now-deceased made a decision to be vaccinated after watching her slot on the This Morning show? Perhaps, she would be best explaining herself in a court of law.

“I would encourage everybody out there offered a vaccine; don’t ask questions. Really, please take it.

I wonder if 74-year-old Australian, Clive Haddon asked questions before he decided to take the vaccine? Less than two weeks after doing so, he was suffering from excruciating pain when blood clots developed in his urinary tract. After having them removed at Modbury Hospital in South Australia, he suffered a stroke and was transferred to Royal Adelaide Hospital where doctors discovered more clots – this time in his brain. Emergency surgery was performed on Clive, but there was no success in removing the clots. His condition worsened as his daughter’s questions regarding the Astra Zeneca vaccine he had been administered were fobbed off by the doctors and nurses on site. Eventually, he would be placed on a ventilator before medical staff concurred that there was nothing more they could do for him. He died shortly after.

It makes you wonder if it was John Hayball’s father who had endured a painful death after the horrendous effects of a vaccine, would he be so quick in telling the public not to ask questions? One day, a prosecutor or a judge may ask him this.

Dublin-based academic, Professor Anthony Staines continues to issue warnings of the perceived Indian variant and denounces national reopening plans via a fawning Irish media, only months after being caught red-handed staging a campaign to bombard the public with bone-chilling information which was purposely designed to petrify them. Independent media outlet, Gript, revealed that messages had been leaked to their reporters, proving that Staines had encouraged his COVID sect followers to ‘look for ways to increase insecurity, anxiety and uncertainty’, reminding them that the ‘threat of a thing is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.’

As I outline in my book, The COVID-19 Illusion; A Cacophony of Lies, that same ‘threat’ has been what has fuelled the illusory pandemic. It has resulted in the loss of income and economic destitution of billions worldwide. That same ‘threat’ is now responsible for the vaccine rollout which has, thus far, cost the lives of over 15,000 people. And that same vaccine rollout was of course predicated by the scaremongering of the evil scientists and mad doctors who have been appearing on our TV screens for the past 14 months. Those demented creatures are now overdue a date with their destiny and an appointment with justice.

It is high time that they join Martin Ackermann and are each put before a court of law, taking their rightful place as some of history’s most sinister criminals.

‘Proven right’: Trump savors post-presidency vindication streak

The 45th president is enjoying a run of belated validation on a series of controversial issues, including: the Covid lab-leak theory, Russian bounties, Lafayette Park police tactics, hydroxychloroquine, and his words to a Georgia election investigator.

“I have been proven right (once again),” former President Donald Trump declared this week in claiming vindication for advancing the COVID-19 “lab-leak” theory, for which he was roundly jeered last year.

Whether or not the lab-leak theory turns out to be correct remains to be seen. But the new respect with which the theory is being treated is just one of several high-profile vindications the 45th president has received since leaving office in January. Here are five significant shifts in conventional wisdom and prevailing media narratives that have the former president crowing, in effect, “I told you so!”

1. Lab-leak reversal: Trump had been an early promoter of the possibility that the SARS-Cov-2 virus escaped from a Chinese virology lab, but the hypothesis received widespread backlash from members of the press and scientific community, with Trump being accused of spreading a racist conspiracy theory.

Only over the last few months have more and more government, media and scientific officials signaled an interest in mounting a thorough investigation into the lab-leak theory. Trump himself has touted the newfound interest in the lab as a confirmation of his earlier claims.

“We were right about the China Virus from the beginning, and now the entire world sees it,” he said this week.

2. Growing evidence hydroxychloroquine may be effective COVID-19 treatment: Trump had suggested as much early on in the pandemic last year, but his remarks were followed by widespread scientific and media ridicule, with numerous medical officials claiming that HCQ offered no benefit to those suffering from the coronavirus.

Despite the prevailing stance within the federal public health establishment, several studies over the past year have suggested at least some benefit to HCQ treatment, particularly when administered in an outpatient setting. One recent study (which has not yet undergone peer review) found sharply higher survival rates for patients on elevated HCQ regimens.

Harvey Risch, a professor of epidemiology at Yale University who for the past year has publicly advocated for increased use of HCQ to fight COVID-19, said the data in the most recent study was “good,” though he noted it was “tentative.”

“The main evidence for HCQ is in outpatient treatment and in prevention,” he said. “Nine studies have examined outpatient treatment. All show benefit.”

HCQ does not appear to a magic bullet to cure COVID-19, though Trump himself acknowledged as much last April in touting the drug as simply “a great thing to try just based on what I know.”

Yet even the mixed return on HCQ trials has acted as an effective vindication for Trump, particularly in light of the dire warnings that experts and press outlets issued after his endorsement of the drug.

3. Intelligence Community doubts about Russian bounties on U.S. troops in Afghanistan: Trump had earlier been slammed for allegedly having known of the reported bounties without taking action on them. Then-candidate Joe Biden called that alleged lapse “beyond the pale” and “a betrayal of the most sacred duty we bear as a nation.”

The Intelligence Community earlier this year, meanwhile, said it had “low to moderate” confidence in the bounty story. White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki admitted in April it was “challenging to gather this intelligence and this data,” noting that the allegations relied on “detainee reporting.”

4. IG debunks Lafayette Park photo-op myth — This week an inspector general report revealed that a much-maligned clearing of protesters from D.C.’s Lafayette Park last year was unrelated to the president’s subsequent passage through the public space.

The Lafayette Park debacle emerged last summer as one of many flashpoints amid the often violent and destructive Black Lives Matter-led protests around the country. Critics accused Trump of using federal law enforcement to violently disperse protesters in the square in front of the White House so that he could cross through for a photo-op at a nearby church.

The Interior Department inspector general’s report found that federal law enforcement had “begun implementing the operational plan” to clear the park “several hours before they knew of a potential Presidential visit to the park.” The IG’s investigation “did not support a finding that the [U.S. Park Police] cleared the park on June 1, 2020, so that then President Trump could enter the park.”

Trump responded to the report with characteristic exuberance, thanking the inspector general “for Completely and Totally exonerating me in the clearing of Lafayette Park!”

5. Washington Post corrects report Trump urged election official to “find the fraud”:

The claim that Trump pressured Georgia’s top elections investigator to “find the fraud” in the state’s 2020 presidential vote was explosive enough to have made it into the 2021 impeachment memorandum of House Democrats. In its correction two months after the story was first published, the Post admitted that it had “misquoted Trump’s comments on the call, based on information provided by a source.”

Trump in a statement at the time of the correction sharply criticized what he said was the politicized state of current U.S. media.

“A strong democracy requires a fair and honest press,” he said. “This latest media travesty underscores that legacy media outlets should be regarded as political entities — not journalistic enterprises.”

“In any event, I thank the Washington Post for the correction,” he added.

As a professional physician having always lived in a big city, I never imagined that at some point in my life, the social and economic situation of my country, Venezuela, would lead me to learn and use survival skills that I had read about but never even thought of applying.

Without being in a declared war or a formal armed conflict, we have experienced different situations of chaos for about 10 years in Venezuela. But in the last three years, the country has become a true SHTF scenario, where the only way to move forward is to learn how to survive.

I feel that the lack of food, clean water, and, at the lowest point of the situation, electricity, has given me new skills that have undoubtedly prepared me for any catastrophic situation.

After three years in this contingency, I can now share every situation that took me by surprise and the techniques I had to learn by doing.

There is no such thing as “too much” stored water

Water is one of the most important resources we need for life. Unlike other supplies, it is not interchangeable with another product, and to be ingested, it must go through a purification process.

I have never been prepared for a water shortage before. Now I know it is important to keep water stored safely in closed containers. If water is not drinkable, it must be purified before ingesting it since contaminated water can cause serious gastrointestinal diseases.

Water is not just for drinking but is used in many other activities, such as cooking and cleaning, so I had to learn some purification techniques that can be done at home.

One of the most popular techniques to decontaminate water is to boil it for three minutes. Purification tablets are also very useful, not that expensive, and easy to use.

Adding five drops of chlorine per liter of water as an emergency measure is another way to clean the stored water.

Grains are my friends

To eat properly, it is necessary to consume proteins, fats, and carbohydrates.

The moment I realized that animal protein was scarce—in addition to the fact that the electricity problems spoiled it—I had to investigate the nutritional content of other foods in order to keep myself well-fed.

Lentils are grains that are easy to store, non-perishable, and high in protein. Together with a cereal like rice, they make a complete meal that keeps us well-nourished and in good health.

Let there be light: candles, matches, flashlights, and batteries

After spending more than four hours without power, I began to worry. I had some candles saved, but I did not know where they could be. I also had a couple of flashlights, but I had removed the batteries to prevent them from being sulfated.

Candles and matches must be in several easily accessible places. Likewise, the batteries should be in the same place where the flashlights are kept, and we must be sure that they have a charge.

During this year, the country suffered the most serious electrical crisis. In several areas, there were blackouts of up to five days.

After a couple of days without electricity, the candles will not be enough, so learning to make oil lamps becomes a vital skill in this situation.

The lack of electricity can lead to a state of anguish that grows with the passage of time. It is important to do everything possible to minimize that effect.

Be prepared with medicines, but it’s better to learn from nature

Due to my profession, I am always very attentive about keeping basic medications, such as anti-inflammatories, analgesics, and antibiotics, in the cabinet.

When I had to live in an SHTF situation, my medical supplies became insufficient, and I couldn’t find any in the pharmacies or they were too expensive. So I had to learn a little more about natural medicine, its uses, and its benefits.

I must say that this is one of the most important things I learned during that time.

Many anti-inflammatory drugs and synthetic analgesics damage the stomach mucosa as a side effect. In situations of stress, there is a large production of acids in the stomach, so using drugs that further damage this organ is not the best idea.

Roots such as ginger and turmeric are excellent anti-inflammatories. They are easy to get and easy to store. Likewise, garlic is a potent analgesic.

In the case of presenting wounds or cuts and not having antibiotic ointments, honey, ginger, and cloves are foods that have scientifically proven antibiotic properties.

Chamomile and lavender are natural relaxants and help fight stress and insomnia.

No matter how big the supply of medicines we have, it will always be more economical, favorable, and easy to store the natural product, with equal and, in some cases, greater effects.

Cash

Banks have made life easier for us with the use of debit and credit cards. However, there are situations in which having a lot of money in the bank does not help much, and I learned it the hard way.

When there is an electrical fault, despite the fact that light and other electrical services have been restored already, the digital communication of the points of purchase become so affected that it is impossible to buy anything in this way.

For this reason, I understood that it is always important to keep some amount of cash for this type of contingency.

Take advantage of any time you get to replace supplies

Although during those years I did not have to be locked in a bunker without being able to leave, the feeling of confinement was quite similar. When, in spite of having the money, you can’t find what you need to eat or, despite having a private vehicle, you can’t move for lack of gasoline, the situation becomes desperate.I understood that in those moments in which there was an opportunity to replace the supplies I had at home, especially water and non-perishable food, I had to do it.

The situation in my country has improved. Although still not at the best economic and social level, and with many problems of scarcity and lack of some supplies, society has been regularized.

However, I appreciate the years that taught me these valuable lessons that I still apply.

The most important thing I learned was to be prepared for when an SHTF situation strikes again.

Yes, I am going there. One of the most hotly debated questions in prepper/survival/firearm enthusiast circles is around the best survival rifle. For all intents and purposes, there are only two in competition in the US and those are the AK-47 and the AR-15. I will add that there are variants of both and I am lumping all of those into these two categories. This question of what is the best survival rifle is one that I asked myself when I was considering my first rifle purchase so I wanted to take some time to hash out what I see are the differences and to give you my opinion as to which rifle is better when it comes to the AK-47 vs AR-15.

House cleaning

I know that this subject is insanely controversial, even though it shouldn’t be. It’s the same as getting upset over Ford versus Chevy. If this post makes it to some of the firearms forums out there I know I will have some people who will disparagingly call me an “Internet Expert” implying that I have no idea what I am talking about. So be it. I am not an expert, but I don’t think anyone else is an expert either in this subject. I don’t think anyone out there is more qualified to determine what rifle is best in my opinion, for me, than me. I don’t really care if you are active duty police, 20 year military veteran, or mercenary for hire. This is my opinion based upon my belief and requirements, you are entitled to yours, but that doesn’t mean mine is invalid. It also doesn’t mean you are smarter than anyone else that disagrees with you. It simply means we have different opinions.

Additionally, I will throw out some facts that should be pretty easy to agree on and some opinions based upon my personal experience which may not be. Just because your experience is different, that doesn’t make it a law of science or anything. If you have a different experience, by all means, please comment down below but I would ask you to keep the debate civil as that is what I am going to try to do. If you would like to make your case for the opposite of what I recommend, please do so in the comments and we can all judge whether what you are saying makes sense.

History

Very briefly, the The AK-47 is a selective-fire, gas-operated rifle that fires 7.62×39mm ammunition. The AK-47 was developed in the Soviet Union by Mikhail Kalashnikov. Design work on the AK-47 began in the last year of World War II (1945). In 1949, the AK-47 was officially accepted by the Soviet Armed Forces and used by the majority of the member states of the Warsaw Pact. It is still widely used today.

If you are going to count on a rifle, you should know how to take care of it.

The AR-15 is a lightweight, magazine-fed, air cooled rifle with a rotating-lock bolt, actuated by direct impingement gas operation or long/short stroke piston operation that fires 5.56 mm/.223-caliber ammunition.

The AR-15 was first built by ArmaLite as a small arms rifle for the United States armed forces. Because of financial problems, ArmaLite sold the AR-15 design to Colt who made some modifications and the redesigned rifle was subsequently adopted as the M16 rifle which was the main rifle used by US Armed Forces. Colt then started selling the semi-automatic version of the M16 rifle as the Colt AR-15 for civilian sales in 1963 and the term AR-15 has been used to refer to semiautomatic-only versions of the rifle since then.

For the purpose of this comparison we are only going to be discussing semi-automatic weapons available for purchase in the US by a non FFL carrying person, not their fully automatic counterparts.

The Facts

You can quickly see some of the facts below about each rifle on this excellent info graphic from TacticalGear.com , but I will list what I see are the important differences between the two rifles.

• The AR-15 can effectively shoot 200 yards further than the AK-47.
• The AK-47 shoots a significantly larger bullet than the AR-15.
• The AR-15 weighs 2 pounds less (not counting a lot of hardware we add after the fact) than the AK-47
• The AK-47 usually costs less than an AR-15.
• The AR-15 has a higher (30% more) accuracy than the AK-47
• The AK-47 is more widely used globally by a long shot than the AR-15.

The Debate

There are really only 3 main arguments that proponents of the AK-47 use as their rationale for saying that the AK-47 is the better survival rifle so I want to list and address each below.

• AK-47 rounds penetrate better and do more damage – This is true generally speaking, let’s move on to the next point.
• AK-47 Costs less – This is true generally, let’s move on to the next point.
• AK-47 will keep working no matter how dirty it gets – This is also true to an extent, but with a caveat. The point to this argument is that if the AR-15 gets too dirty, you will have firing problems. I can tell you from personal experience that I have never had a single problem with any AR-15 or it’s fully automatic cousins that I have ever shot. However, I clean my rifles usually after every time I shoot them. Sometimes, I will wait, but they never go too long without a thorough cleaning, so what is this point supposed to be saying to us? Well, what if you are in a firefight and you have to shoot 300 rounds through your AR-15 rifle; will it jam then? No, at least not in my experience. Maybe if you shot 10000 rounds through it without cleaning the rifle you could see some issues, but if you are in a firefight so bad that you have shot 10000 rounds, you have bigger problems. What if you drop it in a vat of guacamole? Not a valid point in my book.

Which Rifle is the Best Survival Rifle?

I will tell you that in my opinion, the best rifle is the one you have with you when you need it. That sounds well and good, but if I was going to buy one rifle, and I lived in America, it would be the AR-15. Why? For me this comes down to 4 simple points.

Accuracy – The AR is simply more accurate at further distances than the AK-47. If I wanted to shoot a rifle up in the air when I was mad, riding in the back of a Toyota truck with 20 of my friends, or happy, or just plain stupid then I might get an AK-47. One of my goals is to be able to engage targets at up to 500 yards and the AR-15 does that better than the AK-47. The AK might use a heavier round that will go through more solid objects, but if you are able to kill the person holding the AK 200 yards before he can hit you, does that matter?

Range – Speaking of range, the AR-15 shoots further effectively, so that just adds to what I was saying above. Range is also important to me because I want to be able to take people out as far away as possible. I don’t want you getting so close that your AK-47 can hit me. I would rather you and your AK be far away and I will take care of you way out there. I don’t mind walking out there to pick up your rifle when I am finished.

Parts – The AR-15 is like the Barbie doll of the firearm world. There are so many accessories! And yes, the military version of this rifle (M16/M4) has a majority of parts that are fully compatible with the AR-15. The AR-15 is also the same weapon used by police, DHS, and NASA. If anything bad happens, there should be plenty of opportunity for spare parts to be acquired. I can’t say the same for the AK-47 unless we are invaded by Russia. So, even if your AK is able to fire with some mud in it, what if something breaks? That is why you buy spare parts you say. No, that is why you buy what everyone else is using including our government.

Ammo – Same as above, this is the ammo our police and military use as well as quite a large number of my countrymen, so I have the advantage of a very common caliber in my favor.

OK, that is my rationale and those are my reasons. The AR-15 does cost a little more on average, but you can find really good deals out there if you look and the price difference would be much lower. Does this mean I wouldn’t own an AK-47? No, not at all. I would love to have one, but I do think that for the reasons I listed above, if you can only choose one and you live in the good old US of A, the AR-15 is the better option in my opinion.
